ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Students may choose to pursue the entire Graduate Certificate OR may take up to three individual courses on a non-degree basis. Participation in all courses is contingent upon having met prerequisites and acquiring permission of the instructor. To see if previous coursework meets requirements for prerequisites, contact the instructor or Dr. Leech.
Applicants for the Certificate of Graduate Study in Psychiatric Rehabilitation must have an earned baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
Admissions decisions are made on the basis of an overall evaluation of the applicant's preparation and ability to complete advanced study. Particular attention is paid to the applicant's work experience, practice interests, leadership ability, and motivation. Appropriate supporting documentation for admissions include: Graduate Record Examination (scores on verbal, quantitative, and analytical above the 50th percentile preferred); transcript of all undergraduate/graduate coursework (GPA above 3.0 is preferred on both overall and prerequisite science coursework); written statement of goals for graduate study, evaluated by admissions group for consistency with mission of the certificate program.
