When I was 15 I remember my mother sleeping most of the day. When she would finally get up and promise to go somewhere with me or my sisters, she would break it off at the last minute.
Once a few days before school started I asked her if she would take me to get the school clothes she had been promiseing to get me for weeks. She started crying and saying that she just couldn't and that if she were dead everyone's lives would be better.
