My family pretty much ignored the problem. They were trying to keep themselves sane. My parents were divorced and I was an only child so I suffered the brunt of her problems. When I questioned the rest of my family such as my grandmother, aunts and uncles, they basically said "just deal with it." They made excuses for her behavior. "She just stressed out."
